Winning start for RHFA teams at International Tournament

Both of the Ricki Herbert Football Academy touring teams have had a winning start to the International Tournament at Shepparton, Victoria.

Day one of the AFS International Tournament saw both teams complete three matches.

The U-11 boys have come away with three wins from three games.

They beat Keilor Park 3-0 win with scorer Luke O’Brien getting a hat-trick.

RHFA beat Tatura 3-0 with scorers being Jayden Cloete, Blake Aarsen and Luke O’Brien.

Two Liam Rogers goals helped the academy beat Sandringham Strikers 2-1.

Our U-12 girls finished the opening day with two wins and a loss.

They beat Bendigo 5-1 with scorers Manaia Eliot (2), Holly Quin (2) and Lydia Masters.

The team lost 3-2 to Promax Academy and their goalscorers were Manaia Eliot and Hayley Williams

Alexa Harvey scored both RHFA’s goals in their 2-0 victory over Box Hill.

The academy coaches said both teams had received great encouragement from the sidelines from the families and supporters travelling with the touring party, and they thanked them.

Boys Team: Ruben Du Plesses, Miles Lawson, Blake Aarsen, Finn Carpenter, Jaden Cloete, Shannon Perham-Hayes, Tamaho Perry, Max Kelk, Luke O’Brien, Lukas Lovelock, Johnny French, Bill Axon, Liam Rogers, Oliver Walsh.
