Teams have been named to travel to Australia in July to represent the Ricki Herbert Football Academy at the Sydney Youth Cup tournament. The teams were selected after the RHFA National Camp held over the weekend of February 5-7.
Kale Herbert is the National Head Coach for the Ricki Herbert Football Academy. Based in Taupo, he is ideally located to work with all the academy’s Talent Development Centres in the North Island.
Former New Zealand international goalkeeper Grant Schofield will run our weekly RHFA goalkeeping course in Auckland from January-April. Schofield, who was coach for the New Zealand U-17 team at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, will be using his skills and experience to help goalkeepers aged 10-16.
Too often, players and coaches turn up for training without asking themselves why they are there. It’s important everyone has clear objectives for what they plan to achieve at training sessions.
Paraparaumu College says its relationship with RHFA is proving to be “very successful”, enabling its teams and students to benefit from “excellent coaching” by its professional coaches.

Tauranga’s Talent Centre team won the inaugural Clive Herbert Challenge Cup 4-3 in a thriller of a game against their counterparts from Taupo.
Thanks for making it (the tour to Australia) so memorable.
I believe the boys enjoyed time with Ricki with his professional coaching career and his input to help them further develop their football career.
