Players at the Ricki Herbert Football Academy’s National Training Camp enjoyed their second day together in Cambridge with sessions ranging from a beep test to a workshop on what makes a world class footballer.
All the players underwent a standard beep test – designed to test levels of fitness and endurance – and the results will be logged onto the academy’s national database, helping build a long-term profile of each player.
In the afternoon, the boys and girls went inside for discussions on the attributes of top players, before finishing with some competitive games.
