Drill 6: How to practise your dribbling skills during the COVID-19 lockdown

posted in: Coaching tips, News

Want to continue to develop your footballing skills while staying at home during the lockdown?

The Ricki Herbert Football Academy has put together a video series of 6 drills, all of which can be practised in your back garden at home.

Before the COVID-19 lockdown began on March 26, RHFA coaches Kale Herbert and Lee Taylor recorded the drills at Hamilton’s Porritt Stadium in anticipation that many young footballers will need to find new ways to practise.

RHFA will release a new video each day so please check this website for each drill.

All you’ll need is a football, a bit of space and some cones – and if you don’t have cones, improvise with container lids or some old socks.

The key is to watch the video carefully and then practise the drills until you become confident and feel yourself improving your skills.

And have some fun!
