The Ricki Herbert Football Academy’s girls team from Cambridge have performed well at the Papamoa FC’s girls tournament, reaching the semi-finals of the bowl.
The girls from RHFA’s Cambridge talent centre played five matches in a busy day at the Papamoa club in the Bay of Plenty.
They lost their opening game 3-0 to Auckland’s Forest Hill but bounced back with a 5-0 win against Ohope, with Holly Quinn scoring four and Alexa Harvey adding the other.
A goalless draw with Otumoetai sent RHFA Cambridge into the bowl semi-finals, drawn to face Otumoetai once more.
This time, RHFA won with a goal from Holly Quinn, sending the team through to the bowl semi-final.
In that game, Western United won by a single goal.
Thanks to all the players and their parents for their support.
