Auckland-based coach Dylan Morris has been recognised for his on-the-pitch efforts last season, winning two playing awards at Northern League club Hamilton Wanderers.
Morris, who is the head coach for the Ricki Herbert Football Academy’s Auckland region, has been named Wanderers’ Northern League team’s Player of the Year, and its Players’ Player of the Year.
The awards are a deserved recognition for Morris (23) who has combined his commitment as a player with his development as a coach.
RHFA founder Ricki Herbert said:
“On behalf of the RHFA family, we’re very proud of what Dylan has achieved — the awards reflect all the hard work he’s put in, during a difficult year for our sport, and he fully deserves them.”
Over the past 10 years, Morris has travelled the pathway from being a young player attending RHFA programmes to become a coach striving to create the best possible environment for children at the academy’s Auckland centres.
